Robert Oates (Larry)

Larry - we never learn his surname - is chief technician at the International Institute of Biological Research (better known as the 'Ice Box'), which is situated in the Antarctic. Unlike the others at the 'Ice Box' Larry isn't a gifted scientist and according to Beth (who Larry is attracted to) his was just satisfactory enough to get him the post at the Institute. Larry is a humorous and easy-going individual who Liz warms to and even flirts with, much to Simon's disgust!
