After escaping from the dying Ice Box, Simon and Liz are transported to an alternate 1990 where corrupt scientific progress has resulted in the breakdown of the planet’s climate. As the Earth faces a deadly growing heat, Simon is forced to confront not just his own personal future but an elderly, schizophrenic Traynor bent on revenge.
